Tuesday 4- Summer Time and the Living is Easy?

Welcome to Tuesday 4- A fun question post continued in the memory of Toni Tadeo, It’s original author.

This is a great way to share your blog post and learn about other bloggers.

You can head over to Tuesdays Place to learn more details on how this works.

Now, Let’s have som fun.

Todays Subject: Summer time living.

1. What do you like to do in the summer?

I like to spend time outside in the Summer. I love the warm sunshine and the smell of fresh cut grass. I also like to plant things such as flowers or a small garden. We also like going to the beach which is 4 hours away. We go every chance we get. We have a camper stored in the campground we go too. When we arrive, they will have it setting on an ocean front lot ready to enjoy.

2. What is your favorite summertime food or beverage?

Being a southern girl, nothing beats a nice glass of sweet iced tea with a home grown tomato sandwich.

3. How do you beat the heat?

Heat does not bother me. I love the warmth as I am always cold. However, If I do get too hot, I can just go inside to the air condition but a shady spot and gentle breeze is all I need to cool down. I would love to have swimming pool as an option.

4. What do you really like about the summer season?

I like wearing summer clothes. I like to wear cute sundresses and light weight shirts. I also like to bird watch. During the summer you see more birds eating from the feeders and bathing in the bird baths.

Now it’s your turn. Once your finished, Head over to http://tuesdaysplace.blogspot.com/ and drop your post in the link box so she can add it to the list.

Tuesday 4- Houses

 Welcome to Tuesday 4.

A fun four question post continued in the memory of Toni Taddeo, It’s original author.
Let’s have some fun.

Todays Subject: Houses

1. In what part of the country is your current home located? North, South, East, West, Mid West,
coastal, rural, city, mountains or plains?
I live in the Southeastern region of the United States. North Carolina is the 28th largest state and the 9th most populated.

 2. Why did you choose your present home, and how long have you lived there?
We have lived in the house we are in now for 16 years. We chose our home because it was a well built older brick home in an older neighborhood. We did not want one of those new type homes were you can reach out and touch your neighbors house. Also, At the time, we wanted to be close to my daughters high school to make it easier on us (its only a block away and she could walk but give a kid a car and they will drive next door). We are also close to family, work, and church.

3. What do you like the most about your present home?
I like that I have some great neighbors our age we can be friends with. We do not worry much when we go out of town because we keep an eye out on each others house. As far has the house itself, I love the hardwood floors through out.

4. If money were no object, is there anything you would change about your present home, or would you keep it just the way it is?
Oh I would make lots of changes. We ran out of time and money when we moved in to do any updating even though we did do a lot of repairs. I would love to remove the paneling in the den and I dream of a white kitchen. We talk about the things we would have done differently such as knocking out a few walls and open it up more. I would like a bigger and nicer patio and add the beach to the front yard.

Thanks to Anne for organizing the Tuesday 4 questions.

Tuesday 4- Moving

Welcome to Tuesday 4.
A fun four question post continued in the memory of Toni Taddeo, It’s original author.
Let’s have some fun.

Todays Subject: Moving

1. How far away are you from where you grew up?
I live about 10 miles from where I grew up. My parents still live in the home place. I also live in the same district I lived in until I was seven.

2. Families sometimes move all over the country.Do you feel that a family should try to stay close together?
I think people should live where they can be happy. Some people prefer living close to family but some enjoy living afar so they can have a place to come home too and visit. For me, I do not mind moving away if I get the chance but still want to be within a comfortable drive from my daughter and momma and daddy.

3. How many times have you moved in your life and would you like to share when and where you moved?
I have been married twice so I have moved a few times. But the total moves I have made in my life is seven times. Three before I was married and four after. If I don't count the temporary places I’ve lived, It would only be 4.

4. What brought you to where you are living now and are you happy there?
When we got married we bought and lived in my husbands late grandparents home. The property was sold to a video store and we moved to our current home which is bigger and better. We used to be happy here but now not so much. A lot has changed in our neighborhood in the past 18 years. We also would like to downsize one day and maybe even move to the beach.
